Winter/Spring - Track

January 17 - May 9

After the holidays our session will focus on building endurance and speed which will include local 5k’s then transitioning into track season. Just like the fall, there are plenty of opportunities for all ages and ability levels to race on the road and on the track.

 

During this session we will continue with practices on the Trinity Trails and start incorporating track sessions. Middle Schoolers will begin their training as they prepare for track season, then Cadence training will be supplemental work alongside their school team while in season. Spring is a fun time with plenty of racing and fast times.

Summer 2 - Base Camp

*July 6 - August 1

Summer training is the foundation for a successful cross country season. Base Camp provides middle school and high school runners with weekday morning runs that begin building mileage as runners prepare for late summer and fall races. For middle school and high school runners, Cadence is supplementary training, not a replacement for their school team.  We work with your school schedule to help provide individual support

Summer 1 - Track

* May 11 - June 13 

This is a shorter session that is a continuation of the Winter/Spring Track Session. For those runners that want to get a few more meets to compete in, this session offers training that will take the runners though the end of school and into the first part of summer. This session will include speed practices on the track. Local distance meets and all-comers meets will give runners plenty of opportunities to race.

Fall - Cross Country

August - December 2026

The end of summer and into the fall session focuses on cross country training and races including local 5k’s. We start by building a solid base then building speed as we begin racing. The fall session will include post season races in the area and at the regional level and beyond. 
 

Elementary school runners will have opportunities in local and regional cross country races as an individual and as part of the Cadence team.
 

The fall session for middle school runners is a compliment, not a replacement, to their middle school team. It is additional training that will improve their overall conditioning and speed.
 

For middle school runners or homeschool runners that do not have a team, Cadence can fill that need. Contact Coach Culpepper with additional practice time options that fit your needs.


Many weekends in the fall will include Saturday morning cross country races. See Upcoming Races.
