From all of the Cadence Coaches - THANK YOU!!!
We have been blown away this session by the commitment and buy-in to our program. It has been so great to see so many families join us this session and we look forward to continuing in January after a refreshing Holiday Season.
We capped off our last week of training with fun holiday games and some caroling.
A note from Coach Culpepper:
Cadence Running Club had a great inaugural fall session! The runners had numerous highlights and personal bests. We are excited about their continued growth and improvement this spring. Following a long fall training block, it is important to take 2-3 weeks off. Just like summer is the key to a strong XC season, January and February are the foundation to a successful spring track season. A training calendar will be available for runners wanting to get a head start prior to the start of our Winter/Spring Session.
What's Next:
Winter/Spring Session
January 17 - May 9
Session Focus: After the holidays our session will focus on building endurance and speed which will include local 5k’s then transitioning into track season. Just like the fall, there are plenty of opportunities for all ages and ability levels to race on the road and on the track.
During this session we will continue with practices on the Trinity Trails and start incorporating track sessions. Middle Schoolers will begin their training as they prepare for track season, then Cadence training will be supplemental work alongside their school team while in season. Spring is a fun time with plenty of racing and fast times.
